Week 1 Post

My project:

One thing that I have always struggled with around the holidays is wrapping presents. No matter what I do I always end up with more wrapping paper on one side and then the end result does not look good. I can't be the only one who has had this problem so I plan on teaching people the steps to wrapping a present properly. I will probably have to end up using PowerPoint to present the end result but the plan is to take a stop-motion video of how to wrap a present. I will make one long video of all of the steps that will be shown at the beginning and again at the end. I will then make stop-motion videos of each specific step that are more detailed and show the technique used to accomplish the task. By the end of the tutorial, the user should be able to wrap a present with ease and have it look professional.

  1. Michael,
I think its a great idea to do a lesson on wrapping presents. I can think of several people I know who could benefit from this.

  2. This is a great idea! I'm the go-to wrapper person in my family so I'll be administering this lesson to all my family!

    1. Dr. West,

I plan on wrapping everything up in Power Point. There will be video narration through each of the stop motion videos explaining what the steps are. Then I will publish the file to this blog, twitter, facebook, and youtube.
